Meet the Team
Rob is a leader, entrepreneur, and visionary who loves building great companies and products. As the founder and CEO of 3PM, he focuses on building a better eCommerce future. He is a leading eCommerce expert that is trusted by brands, sellers, and marketplace operators. Prior to 3PM, Rob was a co-founder and senior trader of an algorithmic trading group. Rob started in eCommerce and international business in the early 2000s when he founded a gaming company that manufactured in China and distributed globally. Rob began his career working for a three-person investment manager that was acquired by Neuberger Berman. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Spring Hill College.
Sergey is 3PM’s technical leader and is responsible for product development, design, and implementation. He led the team that built 3PM’s core technology platform, and also designed a universal coding process to improve platform performance and scalability. Prior to 3PM, he was the Chief Technology Officer of a software consulting company that developed a chat system for Walmart. Sergey brings over 10 years of technology experience to the 3PM team, and holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Siberian Aerospace University.

Former Chief Operating Partner/ Chief Compliance Officer of Battery Ventures (Retired March 2018). Chris joined Battery in 2003 and oversaw the firm’s operational, compliance and administrative functions. Prior to joining Battery, Chris served as the Chief Financial Officer for public companies Saville Systems and Net Genesis until their acquisitions by ADC Telecommunications (now part of TE Connectivity, Ltd) and SPSS (now part of IBM), respectively. Chris graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Accountancy, has an MS in Taxation from DePaul University.

Doug leads a trading group at Jump Trading LLC. Jump combines sophisticated quantitative research, best-in-class technology, and an entrepreneurial culture to create a leading global, quantitative-based trading firm. Jump has more than 500 employees across offices in Chicago, New York, London and Singapore.
Founder of Signal, Marc brings a wealth of digital marketing domain expertise from senior executive roles at aQuantive (Avenue A | Razorfish and Atlas), Right Media and Centro. Marc served as COO and EVP of Global Expansion at Centro and helped take the company from small startup to dominant player in the local digital display market by building the largest platform for advertisers and agencies seeking local reach in quality publishing and contextual environments. At Right Media, Marc played a visible and active role building the company into the fastest growing media network in the world. Yahoo! acquired Right Media in 2007. Prior to his work at Right Media, Marc was one of the founding members of aQuantive’s Atlas division where he established the Atlas Digital MarketingTechnology as the leading ad server built specifically to address the needs of marketers and ad agencies. Marc began his digital marketing career as senior director of major account sales at Avenue A. Microsoft acquired Avenue A as part of the of aQuantive acquisition in 2007. Marc has a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University. He serves as a director on the Signal board, is an active participant in the IAB and also a frequent speaker at digital marketing events including OMMA, DMA and TechWeek. At Signal, Marc has been recognized with several honors, including the 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award. He has also been named to the Crain’s Tech 50 list of top technology leaders in Chicago and the Techweek 100 list of the most influential technology leaders in Chicago.
Aaron is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, and the College of the University of Chicago. He was previously a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT working with Mike Stonebraker on elastic and multitenant database systems, and Sam Madden on the DataHub project. Aaron’s thesis on Elasticity Primitives for Database-as-a-Service was completed at the University of California, Santa Barbara under the supervision of Divy Agrawal and Amr El Abbadi. Prior to receiving a PhD, Aaron spent several years in industry and completed an MS at the University of Chicago. His research interests include elastic systems, database multitenancy, live data migration, cloud computing, and making data management easier for other scientific domains.
